What we’ve raised already
We have successfully completed two crowdfunding campaigns with an incredible platform called Seed&Spark. The first campaign was launched on February 8th, 2020 . We raised over 100% of our goal - $50,200 to be exact - which covered the cost of our horses, their care during our pack trip, and our camping and packing gear. The second campaign finished on March 3rd, 2023 and we were able to raise over $22,000. These funds will help us edit, add music, and graphics to our film so that we can complete the movie. Last year, we completed an online charity auction where we raised over $2,300. Additionally, in March of 2021 we finished up a matching campaign. Thanks to a very generous anonymous donor, we were able to raise another $20,000 towards this project.
Finally, Think Wy awarded us the Wyoming Crossroads Grant, which is a generous $20,000 award. Wyoming Crossroads is a state-wide public humanities initiative to bring humanities perspectives to help Wyoming realize growth out of change.
Wyoming Humanities will be the lead in a multi-faceted statewide campaign to dig deep into the themes of Wyoming’s identity, sense of community, connection to the land, persistence, and ability to manage change. We are honored to receive this grant and to represent this state the three of us hold close to our hearts!
